About Us
CHARLIES COFFEE HOUSE
The idea actually came from the people of Wilmette. Early in 2003, many of the stores in Wilmette surveyed their customers about what they felt was lacking in Wilmette.
Most of those who responded indicated that there just wasnt enough to do in the Village, Particularly in the Village Center, at night. Many indicated their desire for a real coffee house.
I owned the R.C. DANON GALLERY in the Village Center, and I had the space to build a coffee house in my art gallery. CHARLIES, named after one of the best darn dogs youll ever come across, was born. We opened our doors on June 24, 2004.
I want CHARLIES to be a destination for those who love folk & bluegrass music, both patrons and musicians.
I also want CHARLIES to be a place where our customers can kick back, relax, read or converse and enjoy the moment. So we made it a
CELL-FREE-ZONE..
At CHARLIES, youll find really good food, great coffee and outstanding live music. Please join us.
